Why isn’t my Food Processor working after turning it on?
There are safety interlocks to prevent the motor from starting if the Food Processor is not assembled properly
• Turn off and unplug the unit and ensure all parts are assembled properly. Make sure the work bowl and cover are securely locked into position.
Also, check to see if there are any residues blocking the unit.
• If you are slicing or shredding and the above solution does not work, make sure that the food contents in the feed tube are cut below the maximum fill line.
• If the motor still will not start, check the power cord and outlet.
Why isn’t the food evenly processed?
• The ingredients should be cut evenly into ½- to 1-inch pieces before processing.
• Process in batches to avoid overloading.
The slices are uneven or slanted, am I doing something wrong?
• Place only evenly cut food into the feed tube.
• Apply even pressure on the pusher.
Why does some food remain on the top of the disc?
• It is normal for small pieces to remain; cut remaining bits by hand and add to processed ingredients.
Why is the Food Processor vibrating or making loud noises?
• Turn off and unplug the unit and ensure all parts are assembled properly.
• Make sure the rubber feet at the bottom of the unit are clean and dry. Also make sure that the maximum load capacity is not being exceeded.
• Some noise is normal as some heavier loads (e.g. slicing/shredding cheese) may require the motor to work harder.
Why is the Food Processor shutting off while operating?
• The cover or the food chute lid may have become unlocked; check to make sure they are securely in position.
• The Food Processor may be overheated. If the motor exceeds a certain temperature, it will automatically shut off to prevent damage. This should be an extremely rare occurrence. If it happens, turn off the unit and wait 10 to 15 minutes for the Food Processor to cool before resuming.
• If the Food Processor still refuses to run, wait an additional 15 minutes for it to cool before resuming.
Why is the motor stopping after continued heavy use?
• The motor contains a resettable fuse to protect against overheating. Turn the Food Processor off and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
• After the Food Processor has cooled, plug it into the electrical outlet and resume normal use.
Why has the performance of the disc decreased?
• If the holes are blocked, use a brush and clean the disc in hot water or wash the disc in the dishwasher.
Why does my Food Processor not slice, shred, or cut when using the disc?
• Make sure the raised-blade side of the disc is positioned face up on the disc stem. The disc has a raised nub on the top and grooves underneath to help align it properly.
Why is the motor slowing down during operation?
• This is normal as some heavier loads (e.g. slicing/shredding cheese) may require the motor to work harder. Simply reposition the food in the feed tube and try again.
• The maximum load capacity may have been exceeded. Remove some of the ingredients and continue processing.
What can I do if I have difficulty removing the food pusher from the feed tube?
• Food particles may be lodged between the food tube and the pusher. To free the pusher, soak the work bowl cover in warm water or wash it in a dishwasher.
• If the problem still cannot be corrected, contact a VillaWare® brand authorised service centre.

CLEANING THE FOOD PROCESSOR
THE BLADES AND DISCS ARE EXTREMELY SHARP. USE CAUTION
WHEN HANDLING THEM DURING CLEANING.
• Turn Food Processor off and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
• Disassemble all removable parts of the Food Processor. The chopping blade, discs and attachment rod are dishwasher safe; select the minimum temperature and place on the top shelf. Wash the other pieces by hand with warm, soapy water. If the residues dry out in the chopping blade, discs, bowl or the cover, let it soak in warm, soapy water for approximately 10 minutes before washing it.
• Wipe the motor base, including the drive shaft, with a damp or dry cloth.
• Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
• Use a piece of kitchen paper with a little vegetable oil to remove some of the staining resulting from certain foodstuffs, such as carrots.
• Cleaning the internal shaft of your chopping blade is most important. We suggest the use of a small baby bottle brush to remove any food particles, then wash and dry the shaft thoroughly.
• When hand washing, avoid soaking parts in detergent for too long.
• Read through the manufacturer’s instructions to verify that dishwashing detergents are suitable for cleaning plastic items.
RESET FUNCTION:
The motor contains a resettable fuse to protect against overheating.
• If the unit stops after continuous use, turn the Food Processor off and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
• Wait for 5-10 minutes for the Food Processor to cool down.
• Plug the Food Processor into the electrical outlet and resume normal use.
• If the food processor still does not operate, repeat the above steps and wait a further 10 minutes before using again.
MAINTENANCE
• Some parts might stain when in contact with certain vegetables. In order to avoid this, all parts should be washed immediately after each use.
