Why won't my VillaWare® Blender turn on?
If the VillaWare® Blender isn't powering on properly, check the following:
- Make sure the blender is plugged into a working outlet.
- Check the power cord and outlet.
- The jar must be positioned on the base correctly.
If all of the above has been checked and the blender will still not power on, please contact a VillaWare® brand service centre.
Why has my blender blade begun to rust?
It is not common for a blender blade to rust. They are made of stainless steel, but if left in water too long they may rust. To avoid rust, carefully dry the blade assembly immediately after washing.
How do I remove the blade from the jar of my VillaWare® Blender?
Before cleaning and storing your Blender, follow the instructions below to disassemble the jar assembly:
• Turn Blender off and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
• Lift jar assembly straight up and remove it from the motor base.
• Remove the lid and empty the jar. If necessary, use a rubber spatula to scrape foods away from the sides of the jar.
• Turn jar assembly upside down and place in sink to allow residue to drain.
• Unscrew threaded bottom cap by twisting counter clockwise and remove.
• Remove jar skirt.
•Carefully grip the blade assembly by the base. Tilt the blade assembly to remove grip.
NOTE: Blades may drag along side of jar.
• Remove the sealing ring from around blade assembly.
BLADES ARE EXTREMELY SHARP. HANDLE CAREFULLY.
What parts of my blender are dishwasher safe?
The feeder cap, lid, jar and blades are dishwasher safe but must be placed on the top rack. To clean the silver skirt and the base unit, wipe them with a damp cloth.
Why is my Blender jar leaking?
If your VillaWare® Blender is leaking, check the following:
• Is the sealing ring missing?
• Is the sealing ring between the blade and the jar?
• Is the sealing ring lined up properly with the jar?
• Is the sealing ring cracked, broken or worn?
• Is the threaded bottom cap on tight enough?
• Has the jar being damaged at the bottom?
• Is the threaded bottom cap damaged?
• Does the item being blended exceed jar capacity?

Why won't my blender crush ice?
To ensure optimal results when crushing ice, please follow the steps below:
• Feed a few cubes of ice at a time, making sure not to put too much ice into the jar.
• Use the Pulse or Liquefy feature.
• Add 1-cup of liquid into the blender jar.
Why does the motor stop after continued heavy use?
The motor contains a resettable fuse to protect against overheating.
• If the unit stops after continuous use, turn the blender off and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
• Wait 5-10 minutes for the blender to cool down.
• Plug the blender into the electrical outlet and resume normal use.
• If the blender still does not operate, repeat the above steps and wait a further 10 minutes before using again.

CLEANING
• Turn blender off and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
• Disassemble the jar assembly using the instructions in the “After Using your Blender” section. All parts of the jar assembly, except the jar skirt, are dishwasher safe. The glass jar, blade assembly and threaded bottom cap should be placed on the top shelf of the dishwasher. Place the sealing ring in the bottom basket of the dishwasher. These parts can also be washed in warm, soapy water.
RINSING AND DRYING:
• Wipe the motor base and jar skirt with a damp or dry cloth.
• Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
• Drying your blender thoroughly will help to ensure long life.
My jar broke or I’m having a jar-related problem, what can I do?
If you experience any of the following:
• Jar was broken when you opened the product.
• Jar has a misty streak through the glass.
• The jar broke in your hand.
• Any other complaint about the glass jar.
Contact the VillaWare® brand Helpline and be ready to provide the model of the blender, your name, address and telephone number.
How do I reset my Blender?
The product should be used for only 3 to 4 minutes.
The motor contains a resettable fuse to protect against overheating.
• If the unit stops after continuous use, turn the blender off “O” and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
• Wait 5-10 minutes for the blender to cool down.
• Plug the Blender into the electrical outlet and resume normal use.
• If the Blender still does not operate, repeat the above steps and wait a further 10 minutes before using again.
Can I remove discoloration on my jar?
If using intense coloured food, clean immediately after use. If jar discolours with foods such as carrot juice, clean with warm water and use vegetable oil to rub the glass gently to remove stains.
What is the jar made of?
The VillaWare® Blender jar is made from borosilicate glass and can withstand a temperature change of 90C (0C/32F to 100C/212F). Normal jars are made from soda ash which cannot withstand rapid temperature changes.
Where can I find the wattage information on a blender?
Wattage for VillaWare® Blenders is 1000 watts. The wattage information can be found on the bottom of the base of each blender.
